STEP 1: SETTING UP YOUR WEBSITE

In order to get started with Google Adsense, you need a website, where you will display the adverts that Google sends to you.

Now the topic of your website is very important. For you to understand how important it is, you need to first of all, understand how the Adsense program works.

Advertisers pay Google for them to display their adverts. Google displays these adverts through millions of websites, including your own, when you have become a member of the adsense program. When people visit your website and click on the adverts, Google pays you a percentage of what the advertiser pays them. Now BIG advertisers pay BIG money for their adverts, so you are better off if your website topic (or keyword) is a money making one. Examples of money making keywords are things to do with insurance, mortgages, loans, etc.

The high paying keywords pay as much as $5 - $20 per click. This means that if you have Just 5 clicks on your website by your website users, you may make as much as $25 - $100 a day!

So the trick here is for you to draw a balance between a topic or keyword that is highly paying, and one that will be easy for you to master very well. This is because you will have to update your website from time to time, and it is important that you choose something that will be easy for you to research on and write about.

To create your blog:

1. Ensure you use a new email account

2. Choose a blog topic that you are very comfortable with and something that you are knowledgeable about.

3. After creating your blog, begin to add content to it. Ensure you have at least 5 – 10 different topics on your blog.

4. Ask your friends to visit your blog and write their opinions or comments on the topics.

5. After about 1-2 weeks of consistently working on your blog, then you’ll be ready to create your adsense account.
